Frequently Asked Questions
What formats are available for export?
CSV (compatible with Excel, Google Sheets, and any spreadsheet app) and PDF (formatted report with headers and summary). XLSX support coming in a future update.
Can I filter transactions before exporting?
Yes. Use the date range filter to export only transactions within a specific period. You can also choose which columns to include in the export.
Does the export include categories?
Yes, if you check the "Category" column checkbox. Categories are assigned using the same engine as the Spend Analyzer tool.
Can I use the CSV for tax filing?
The exported CSV can help organize your expenses for tax purposes. However, it's based on your uploaded statement data. Consult a CA for official tax filing requirements.
How large can the export be?
There's no practical limit. Since it's generated locally, even thousands of transactions can be exported quickly. CSV files are typically very small.
Does the PDF export include charts?
The current PDF export is a tabular listing. A visual PDF report with charts and summaries is planned for a future update.
Can I export to Google Sheets directly?
Not directly, but you can download the CSV and import it into Google Sheets via File > Import. The CSV format is fully compatible.
Is my data used for any other purpose?
No. The export generates a file locally in your browser. No data is sent to our servers or stored anywhere outside your device.
Why is the UPI ID column unchecked by default?
For privacy protection. UPI IDs are personally identifiable information. We default to excluding them, but you can include them if needed for your records.
Can I export only debits or only credits?
The "Type (Cr/Dr)" column is included so you can sort/filter in your spreadsheet. A direct debit/credit filter on this page is planned for a future update.
